Abstract
Biological tissues are highly scattering media, which limits the transmission of visible light and reduces the visibility of internal structures. Optical clearing techniques seek to improve tissue transparency by decreasing light scattering. In this study, the effect of a commercially available food dye containing E102 (tartrazine) on the optical properties of chicken breast tissue was investigated.
