Abstract

Light with circular polarization affects the rate of certain biochemical processes (reactions). Circularly polarized light with right‑handed polarization activates the processes, while light with left‑handed polarization suppresses these processes. This is due to the chirality of molecules, most of which are chiral and predominantly have a right‑handed twist. Under the influence of circularly polarized light, the conformational structure of proteins changes. It is suggested that the effect of mitogenetic radiation will be enhanced if it is passed through a filter with right‑circular polarization.
