Conformational features of D-xylose and their influence on the interpretation of vibrational spectra

Abstract

Experimental Raman and IR spectra of an aqueous solution of D-xylose were recorded. Molecular models of D-xylose were constructed using the density functional method. A complete conformational analysis of D-xylose was carried out, and theoretical IR and Raman spectra were constructed.Based on the obtained data, an interpretation of the vibrational spectra of an aqueous solution of D-xylose was made.
