Abstract
The modern photoacoustics devices provide a number of measurement and imaging modalities based on natural contrast. I this talk we will discuss applicability of natural contrast to detection of rare objects in the bloodstream and measurement of glucose level as the examples of biomarkers detection in the human body without introducing the additional contrasts or invasive procedures. We will also discuss the transfer from universal laboratory photoacoustic systems to compact semi-mobile devices that can be moved between the development laboratory and clinical tests. Some clinically tested examples and the directions of possible alterations will be discussed.
