Investigation of the possibility of using SERS for therapeutic drug monitoring

Abstract
In this work, silver triangular flat silver nanoparticles were synthesized. The possibility of using the synthesized nanoparticles for the registration of the medicine methotrexate (MTX) in the serum of patients using Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) method was shown. The obtained SERS spectra of patient serum samples were analyzed using several statistical methods, namely: discriminant analysis, the k-nearest neighbors method and the partial least squares (PLS) method.The optimal method for processing the obtained SERS spectra for the purposes of therapeutic drug monitoring has been determined.
