Abstract
Nanoparticles (NPs) based on Ce-La and Ce-Yb oxides are distinguished by high thermal stability [1], oxygen non-stoichiometry [2] and antioxidant activity, which ensures their wide potential for application in various fields of science and technology, including solid oxide fuel cells, sensor devices and photocatalysis [3]. At present, various methods are used to synthesize Ce-La and Ce-Yb oxide NPs, but they are quite complex and labor-intensive. An analogue of existing methods is the high-temperature organometallic synthesis method, which allows obtaining NPs with low size dispersion and high quality of the crystal lattice.
In this work, Ce-La and Ce-Yb oxides NPs stabilized with oleic acid were obtained by high-temperature organometallic synthesis, and their optical properties, size and morphology were characterized using spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy, respectively.
The work was supported by this foundation (project no. 22–63–00082).
