Abstract
A six-resonator K-band bandpass filter has been developed and investigated in a WR-51 waveguide channel. Transmission zeros are introduced through electromagnetic coupling between non-adjacent resonators. The cross-coupling is implemented using a section of a ridge waveguide. This approach significantly simplifies the fabrication process of highly selective bandpass filters. The filter was designed using network synthesis theory and analyzed using electromagnetic simulation. The proposed filter topology is suitable for use in multiplexers for terrestrial and satellite communication systems, where compact size, low insertion loss, and high inter-channel isolation are required.
