The main goal of the conference is to review and discuss the recent developments in the field of advanced materials and techniques for optics, biophotonics, and related applications in advanced biomedical engineering. The main focus will be on optical characteristics, biocompatibility and resistance to aggressive environments, such as human blood and biological fluids. The secondary focus will be on new areas of applicability of materials for optics, biophotonics and medicine, such as microfluidic systems, lab-on-chip and organ-on-a-chip systems. The conference topics cover optical and laser materials, fiber optics, thin films and phase-change materials for optoelectronics, materials for medical instruments, biological research and implantation, as well as artificial intelligence methods for biophotonics and medicine. The related problems of their production and research will be discussed.

*This year, the joint Conferences on Terahertz Optics & Biophotonics VIII and Advanced Materials for Optics & Biophotonics VIII will be held onsite, at the Сluster for Engineering for Life Sciences (CELS), Centre for Soft Matter and Physics of Fluids, Bauman Moscow State Technical University (Moscow, Russia).
