Abstract
With the help of self-consistent computer modeling of a high-current ion diode by the particle-in-cell method, the regularities of ion passage in a multicomponent ion beam were researched. A change in the relative concentrations of ions of different sorts at the collector of a high-current ion diode compared to the concentrations at its emitter was found. An adjusting factor for compensation this change is proposed. Computer modeling was carried out using PIC-code KARAT [1].
Key words: Quantitative mass-spectrometry, ion diode, multicomponent ion beam, adjusting factor, particle-in-cell modeling.
