Effect of deformation on optical and optoelectronic properties of quasi-2D van der Waals heterostructures based on borophene

Abstract

The paper considers various variants of borophene-containing van der Waals heterostructures: borophene/gallium nitride, borophene/zinc oxide, borophene/rhenium sulfide, borophene/rhenium selenide. The influence of axial tensile/compressive strains on the complex permittivity and absorption spectrum of the above-mentioned heterostructures is studied using first-principles methods.
