Prospective applications of semiconductor lasers

Abstract
New LD modules manufactured by RME INJECT are reported:
- biomedical and technical applications - red range of the radiation spectrum 6 W, 638 nm with fiber output;
- spin-exchange optical pumping of noble gases, promising for use in magnetic resonance imaging 785 nm, Δλ=0.1 nm;
- collimated LD module with an output pulse power of 50 kW, 940 nm for pumping of DPSS laser;
- promising laser technologies - metal hardening, soldering, powder cladding and wire laser additive manufacturing (WLAM).
