Charge Transfer in DNA and Biophotonics

Abstract

The use of fluorescence to determine the rate of charge transfer in DNA is discussed. The results of modeling charge transfer in homogeneous polynucleotide chains in the presence of an external electric field are presented. The conditions for generating Bloch radiation in oligonucleotides in the terahertz range are considered.
