ROUND TABLE: Quantum information networks and prospects for their development in the Russian Federation
Alexander V. Gorokhov, Samara University, Samara, Russia
Abstract
The report provides a brief overview of the use of quantum communications based on modern quantum optics methods. For example, in Russia by 2030 it is planned to build over 15 thousand km of quantum communication trunk lines, as well as create centers for monitoring quantum networks. Recently it became known that the Center for Quantum Technologies of the Faculty of Physics of Lomonosov Moscow State University has developed an eight-channel programmable interferometer for quantum computing. Today the product has no analogues in the world.
