ROUND TABLE: Complicating the Theoretical Apparatus of Fundamental Science: Progress or a Deadline for Development?

Abstract
The parallels between history of mankind, history of knowledge and evolution of species are drawn. The question is investigated, whether there is a uniform direction of bio, scientific and techno evolutions, or only a lateral branches, each of which periodically come to the deadlock. And can testify about the deadlock not only simplification, but also excessive complication. The Monstrous Complexity of the Ptolemy Geocentric System, in which the introduction of numerous epicycles was required to harmonize with observational data, was a consequence of this, that an improper center has been selected in this system (Earth). The choice of another center in the Copernican heliocentric system made it possible to radically simplify the mathematical apparatus of the theory. It's an analogy. Maybe, the complexity of modern Grand Unification Theories, which contains 11 measurements, like the epicycles of Ptolemy, due to the choosing the wrong center. Is there going to be another Copernican revolution in physics, which will radically simplify the mathematical apparatus of fundamental theories?
