Abstract
Open source Java library Bio-formats is a convenient instrument widely used for biomedical imaging data conversion and import. Typically image processing is performed using Java based FIJI open-source software package that provides versatile instrumentation for image processing. But for certain applications like graphic user interface based interactive image analysis FIJI functionality is limited and requires elaborate development of Java GUIs.
We present interactive frequency domain image filtering software that utilizes Bio-formats for import of native large biomedical microscopy image data. Native file import library was developed for interactive LabVIEW based GUI interactive image processing software.
The use of the library enables fast interactive suppression of fringe like image recording artifacts over large multidimensional images.
