Abstract

Of undoubted practical importance is the development of an appropriate assessment of the effectiveness of antimicrobial PDT, which ensures the limitation of the duration of exposure to radiation on the body, which was the goal of this study. Approbation of the new "radiation-solvent-photosensitizer" scheme in the course of in vivo research on laboratory animals also requires standardization and reduction of the list to obtain a comprehensive result. We have developed coefficients based on data from general and biochemical blood tests of laboratory animals during experiments on photodynamic effects.
To assess the information content of the method the day before the formation of a purulent abscess, on the 5th, 10th and 15th days after the formation of a purulent abscess, the total number of leukocytes, the total number of platelets, the concentration of creatinine C and the concentration of hemoglobin H are determined, the average value of the norm of the total number of leukocytes, the total number of platelets, the content of creatinine and hemoglobin, as a same parameters for animals with purulent abscess after PDT. The evaluation of efficiency of PDT was calculated by the coefficients K1 and K2.
The coefficients proposed in the method showed their informative value for assessing the condition of animals with a purulent abscess: the results showed that the combination of red (660 nm) radiation and methylene blue in intralipid solution leads to the normalization of coefficients and reduces the microbial contamination of the exudate by 10*5 CFU/ml on the 5th day of therapy.
