Entanglement in the nonlinear three-atom Jaynes-Cummings model

Alexander R. Bagrov, Samara National Research University

Abstract

We investigate the dynamics of three identical two-level atoms interacting with a one-mode quantum electromagnetic field of Q-infinite cavity with a Kerr medium. We have found the solutions of the quantum evolution equation for a system under consideration for the initial genuine W- and GHZ-entangled states of the atoms and the coherent and thermal initial state of the cavity field. By averaging the total density matrix over the variables of the resonator field and the variables of one of the atoms, we calculated the negativity for pair of atoms. The results showed that detuning and Kerr nonlinearity can greatly enhance the amout of entanglement of a pair of atoms. The possibility of the elimination the sudden death of entanglement. has been shown.
