Diffractive microstructure of optical holograms of scattering object

Abstract

The spatial microstructure of a monochromatic optical wave field scattered by an object during hologram recording, the formation of a diffractive microstructure in thin and volume holograms, the process of diffraction of a reconstructing light wave on a hologram structure, and the formation of a holographic image are considered. The informational properties of the diffractive structures of optical holograms by Leith and Denisyuk are analyzed. The recording of digital holograms and the numerical reconstruction of the amplitude-phase spatial distributions of the object wave field from them are considered.
