Round Table: Sixty years of the method of coherent states in quantum optics
Alexander V. Gorokhov, Samara University
Abstract
The history of applications of the method of coherent states to the theory of the interaction of radiation with matter is considered. Along with the Glauber (oscillator) coherent states, squeezed Stoler states are presented. The technique of coherent states of the dynamical group is used. To illustrate the general approach, the theory of spontaneous parametric light scattering, a process that is important in modern quantum informatics, is considered.
