Abstract
In this paper, a two-element design of the phase-shifting channel of a differential phase shifter is investigated. Each element of the phase-shifting channel consists of a segment of coupled transmission lines loaded with a short-circuited stub. The reference channel in this case is formed by a segment of a single homogeneous transmission line. The features of the microstrip implementation of the phase shifter of this structure are considered. An electrodynamic simulation of a phase shifter for the L-band has been carried out. Studies have shown that the considered structure provides a level of agreement with VSWR of no more than 1.1 in the frequency range with an overlap ratio of at least 2. The deviation of the phase-frequency characteristic from the specified nominal value does not exceed 2 degrees.
