Abstract

Lanthanide complexes are widely used in the fields of optics, medicine, and luminescent materials. Also, the study of the reaction of complexation of f-elements with extractants is useful for understanding intramolecular processes in the extraction mixture during the separation of nuclear waste. Because the lanthanides and actinides have similar chemical properties. In this work, we studied the complex formation reaction of lanthanum with 4,7-dichloro-N2,N9-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline-2,9-dicarboxamide in acetonitrile. The composition of the complex was established and the value of the stability constant of the complex was calculated using the HypSpec2014 program.
