Abstract
PDT is still a technical and clinical challenging therapeutic method especially in endocopics reachable body regions. Different aspects of PDT like photosensitizer, illumination devices and treatment protocols were presented with regard to specific applications: stereotactic iPDT for glioblastoma in neurosurgery, interstitial PDT for prostate cancer in urology and intraluminal PDT for cholangiocarcinoma in gastroenterology.
