Abstract

We investigate the evolution of chimera states in ensembles of nonlocally coupled logistic maps and cubic maps when the coupling coefficients are modulated with colored Gaussian noise. Moreover, we establish the possibility of controlling spatial structures by varying the noise parameters. We found out that under independent noise influences it is possible to obtain structures similar to solitary states for a ring of logistic maps, and for a ring of cubic maps it is possible to observe the phenomenon of spatial chaos. At the same time, with a general noise impact, for a system with logistic maps, it is possible to obtain not only a transition from chimeras to cluster structures with a piecewise smooth profile, but also to achieve a regime of complete synchronization. While for the system of cubic maps, partial synchronization is observed only.
