Novel type of photoconvertible cell markers for individual cell labeling

Abstract
Currently, the biological and biomedical scientific community has grown attention in methods for visualization of individual cells behavior and migration in large cell populations by optical sensors. At that time there are no systems for individual cells labeling and tracking their vital activity without gene modification. The synthesis of new optical cell markers is presented. These markers based on micron-sized polyelectrolyte capsules and fluorescent dye rhodamine B possess photoсconversion properties under visible radiation range and low toxicity for normal and cancer cell lines.
