Creation Of Individual Intraosseous Structures Using Additive Technologies

Olga A. Markelova, Aleksandr A. Fomin, Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov, Saratov, Russia

Abstract

A method is proposed for creating personalized structures using a new promising 3D printing technology based on the FDM method and consisting in layer-by-layer printing with a metal-polymer filament and subsequent heat treatment of the resulting structure. Micrographs of the metal-filled filament and samples printed on a 3D printer using this material are presented. The technological modes of 3D printing with metal-filled filament, such as layer height, maximum layer height, printing speed, nozzle temperature, table heating temperature, have been established. The development will find application in modern medicine to create intraosseous constructions for the restoration of lost organs and tissues, which will be different in design and functional purpose.
