ROUND TABLE: "Structures and Patterns: Perceptual Bias Possibilities"
Duplinskya Yuliya Mikhaylovna, Saratov State Technical University by name of Gagarin Yu.A
Abstract
Cyclically reproducible configurations can be identified either as structures (bodies) or as re-producible cycles (patterns) in which bodies are involved. The view of a creature with a different threshold of perception, living in slower rhythms than us, would perceive our body not as a structure, but as a set of cyclic processes. And beings living in faster rhythms than we, would perceive our periodically repeated actions as infracorporal structures, continuing and building on the structures of our physical body.
