Bioluminescence stimulation by ionizing radiation

Abstract
It's well known that some physical and chemical processes of stress character can amplify ultra-weak bioluminescence of living organism. Similar effect studied for 190 MeV proton irradiation of yeast and chicken egg white. After one hour delay after irradiation with 10 Grey dose detected optical photon rate for yeast gains by factor 6.1 +/- .1, for egg white white by 41.4 +/- .6.
