The main goal of the Conference is to provide the platform for sharing and discussion of scientific results on ultra-weak luminescence from biological and biochemical systems. The conference is dedicated to the centenary of the discovery of ultra-weak photon emission (UPE) from biological objects that was made by an outstanding Russian biologist A.G. Gurwitsch in the end of 1922 and pioneered the whole area of research. Special attention will be paid to the history of the area, as it reflects development of both the scientific thought, and the research methods, as well as to the mechanisms of the phenomenon, and its possible use in diagnostics and analysis. The initially proposed ultra-weak luminescence of biological objects in the middle UV-range (called mitogenetic radiation by A.G. Gurwitsch) and related phenomena are also to be discussed.

Topics:

  • Experimental data on UPE from specific biological and biochemical systems
  • UPE imaging and spectral analysis
  • UPE statistical and temporal analysis
  • Molecular and quantum mechanisms of UPE generation in model systems
  • UPE-based methods for monitoring and diagnostics of biosystems
  • Perspectives and new approaches in study of UPE
  • Heritage by A.G. Gurwitsch: review and analysis of results, influence on modern science
  • Mitogenetic radiation and related phenomena: current state and prospects of verification
