Correction to Casimir force

Michael V. Davidovich, Saratov State University, Saratov, Russia

Abstract

Based on the Casimir approach, the method of introducing dispersion forces is analyzed by calculating the natural frequencies of a resonator with dielectric bodies without dissipation and numerical summation of quanta of zero vacuum fluctuations. The conditions of circumcision of such sums and integrals based on sums are investigated, taking into account physical considerations. The results for dielectric plates in a rectangular resonator are presented. An example of summation by Casimir is considered. It is shown that the result of Casimir depends on circumcision, while in the far zone the dependence of the force may differ from the law of the inverse fourth degree.
