Abstract

Light plays a key role in organizing human circadian rhythms. The impact on it occurs due to changes in the level of illumination. It is important for a person that the circadian rhythm is synchronized with light and with the sleep-wake cycle. This is how quality and healthy sleep is achieved. The purpose of this work is to study the sensitivity of the activating system model describing the sleep-wake process to the illumination profile during the day. For this purpose, signals imitating the effect of light were introduced into the model. They had a different shape, but the same average power. The results of the study show that the daily profile affects the boundaries of the system synchronization regimes.
