Abstract
The influence of the role of matrix absorption on the excitation of stimulated emission in random lasing systems has been studied. The results obtained are compared with other systems without matrix absorption. The influence of the effect of matrix “bleaching” on the half-width of the fluorescence spectrum of laser dyes is discussed as a function of the duration of pulsed periodic laser pumping.
