Abstract

The fluorescence lifetime is different for various photosensitizers. But for the same molecule, this time will differ in various physico-chemical conditions. The duration of fluorescence is influenced by such parameters as temperature, pH, viscosity of the environment in which the photosensitizer was found. All these parameters differ for healthy and cancer cells. Thus, according to the lifetime of the photosensitizer fluorescence, it is possible to diagnose better and adjust the treatment plan.
In this work, the lifetime of fluorescence of chlorin-series photosensitizers was studied depending on the values of the pH of the medium using a streak camera. Photosensitizer solutions with interlipid and different concentrations of HCl and NaOH were studied. The pH values are taken near normal, since at extreme acidity values the interlipid collapses, and such conditions are not observed in living cells.
