Abstract

Uranyl ions and their complexes are the main waste of nuclear power, which can enter the environment: water, soil, atmosphere during the extraction of uranium ore by underground leaching, with wastewater from mines and leaks from man-made waste storages. In this regard, it is important to develop methods for analyzing the content of uranyl in natural objects with high accuracy and rapidity, in particular, based on the use of the luminescence of uranyl ions in the UV and visible regions. The aim of this work was to study the luminescence parameters of uranyl ion in the presence different counterions on the example of uranyl nitrate and uranyl acetate. Luminescence spectra and luminescence kinetics of samples in solid form were recorded using luminescence spectrometer Hitachi F-7000. In this work, 3D-luminescence spectra and luminescence lifetime were obtained. We determined the true emission colors of uranyl salts for comparison and characterization of their luminescence spectra. For this we used a CIE color chromaticity diagram.
