Abstract
In this work, we studied the microhardness and wear resistance of hardened layers formed on titanium as a result of laser treatment in graphite powder. The possibility of forming layers on titanium characterized by microhardness up to 24 GPa has been established. Regression models are constructed that describe the effect of laser processing conditions on the hardness of the layers being formed. Investigations of wear resistance by the method of ball abrasion in accordance with the requirements of “P 50-95-88 Recommendations. Ensuring the wear resistance of products. " made it possible to establish that layers of wear resistance class 7-8 are formed on titanium.
