Side light scattering for observation of cell culture growth

Abstract
For biomedical research, the task of tracking the growth of cell cultures is one of the most important. We present a portable and wireless device that allows to estimate cell concentration based on light scatter measurements without sampling, contamination risk and large investment of time and human resources.
