Abstract

The study of the coherence between the elements of complex biological systems is of great fundamental importance for the creation of new methods of personalized therapy and diagnostics in medicine. In this work we evaluate coherence changes between the processes of autonomic control of the cardiovascular system and baroreflex regulation in the wake state and in different stages of sleep. As a result of the analysis a statistically significant coherence between the studied processes was diagnosed. It was also shown that the maximum value of coherence is observed in the phase of REM sleep, and in the waking state, on average, is lower than in others.
