Abstract
Quantum dots (QDs) are luminescent nanocrystals based on semiconductor materials, which are applicable in various fields of science and technology. Alloyed QDs, unlike heterostructural quantum dots, has several advantages, such as a narrow luminescence peak and the ability to adjust the maximum emission wavelength without changing the crystal size. The described alloyed QD's properties achieving only by the high-temperature metalloorganic synthesis however obtained nanoparticles need hydrophilization for their application in polar media. Hydrophilization is a method of transfer QDs into a polar solvent, which able to preserve the advantages of initially hydrophobic QDs. Over time, hydrophilized QDs losing their colloidal and optical stability. The goal of this work was to study the long-term storage stability of hydrophilized QDs depending on the amount of the hydrophilizing agent and the pH.
