Abstract

In this work, we presented an original method for obtaining gold nanodisks by etching gold nanotriangles. The dependence of the optical properties of the resulting particles on their shape was shown throughout the stage of modification of nanotriangles. This type of particles can be represented as a simple quasi-2D model, which is convenient for theoretical calculations of their spectral characteristics. Therefore, we carried out a comparative analysis of the observed experimental and calculated spectral properties of the newly synthesized nanoparticles.
