Abstract
A high antimicrobial activity of an aqueous dispersion of gold nanoparticles stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol was established during photodynamic antimicrobial therapy of experimental purulent wounds. The results obtained allow us to consider it as a promising and safe photosensitizer for photodynamic antimicrobial therapy of infectious lesions of the skin and soft tissues.
