Abstract

A comparative analysis of the influence of red laser (λ-660 nm) and low-intensity electromagnetic radiation of the UHF range (1 GHz, 0,1 μW/cm2, 10 min) on the process of self-organization of the main types of nuclear histones involved in the construction of nucleosomes was performed. To study the process of histone self-organization the method of wedge dehydration was used. Image analysis of facies included their qualitative characteristics, as well as the calculation of quantitative indicators with subsequent statistical processing. It was found that linearly polarized laser radiation in the red region of the spectrum has a significant modifying effect on the self-organization of core histones H2B and H3.2, while the structure of the facies of histones H1, H2A, and H4 remains practically unchanged. Irradiation of a histone solution with low-intensity electromagnetic radiation with a frequency of 1 GHz markedly modifies the facies of all histone samples under study. At the same time, there are distinct changes in the qualitative characteristics of the irradiated facies and reliable shifts in all quantitative parameters.
