RESEARCH OF EXOSOME FLUORESCENCE ISOLATED FROM BLOOD PLASMA IN PATIENTS WITH COLORECTAL POLYPS AND COLORECTAL CANCER

Abstract

Cancer cells secrete extracellular vesicles (exosomes) that contain markers for the potential diagnosis and prognosis of colorectal cancer. The aim of this work is to visualize of exosomes using a MPTflex multiphoton tomograph (JenLab) and FLIM technology. Exosomes were isolated from blood by a standard method using centrifugation. Images of the fluorescence of exosomes of patients with colorectal polyps and colorectal cancer were obtained. It was found that in exosomes samples with colorectal cancer, the number of exosomes with a fluorescence lifetime less than 1 ns is significantly higher than in exosomes samples from healthy patients.
