Abstract

Significance:
Sleep EEG monitoring is of great practical importance for the diagnosis and timely prevention of various sleep disorders.

Goal:
To create a hardware and software complex (APC) for monitoring EEG sleep, which automatically determines the stage of slow sleep in real time, in order to allow therapeutic equipment to stimulate the drainage function of the lymphatic system of the brain.

Approach:
The technology is based on detecting differences in the spectra of EEG signals using the Fourier method, which made it possible to effectively detect the state of deep sleep (NREM), the stage of REM sleep (REM) and wakefulness in rats.

Results:
Based on the experimental EEG recordings in laboratory rats, using the Fourier method, the algorithm effectively detects the state of deep sleep( NREM), the stage of REM sleep (REM) and wakefulness, our results are in good agreement with the results of other researchers.

Conclusions:
The advantage of the developed technology in comparison with existing analogues is that small computing resources are used with the ability to easily integrate into the hardware of other EEG devices.
