Abstract
The mid-IR spectroscopy provides a universal tool for real-time remote monitoring of various molecular species in liquid form. Creation of sensitive fiber-based spectroscopic sensors will allow to move to a higher level of control of monitoring of ecological, manufacturing and scientific processes. In this work the output characteristics of sensing elements based on tapered and bent multimode chalcogenide fiber have been calculated and propagation of radiation through these structures has been investigated.
