Metasurfaces based on Au and VO2 for THz applications

Abstract
Metasurfaces based on VO2 which properties are switchable by using near IR light or local resistive heating are of great interest for novel sub-THz/THz photonic devices including active filters and THz generators. We report on design and study of elements for hybrid metasurface with narrow resonance in 0.7-1.3 THz range based on Au bow-tie antennas and VO2 for THz switchable application.
