Abstract
Gold nanorods are widely used for diagnostics and therapy of cancer and in such scientific disciplines as genomics, biosensorics, etc. The main method of preparation of gold nanorods is their growth in a CTAB solution. CTAB is a toxic surfactant that is harmful to the environment. There are articles in which nanorods are overgrown in the same solution where they have been synthesized. But is it possible to grow particles again in a cleansed CTAB solution? This work is dedicated to answer to this question.
