Abstract
This paper investigates the dynamics of a semiconductor class B laser, which is described by a reduced system of Maxwell-Bloch equations. It is taken into account that for such devices it can be assumed that the polarization infinitely quickly follows the change in the field and it can be adiabatically excluded. An important distinction of these devices is the large absolute value of the coefficient of increasing the linewidth of the laser medium, while it is practically equal to zero for other lasers; therefore, it is necessary to investigate the effect of this parameter on the dynamics of a wide-aperture laser. Numerical modeling of the system and analysis of its stability are carried out.
