Abstract
The paper investigates a model of a solid-state laser with optoelectronic feedback, which controls the Q-factor of the resonator. It is shown that, with an increase in the feedback response delay time, a transition to dynamic chaos is observed in the model. For a sufficiently long delay time, rare laser pulses of high intensity, called rogue waves, appear. In addition, it has been shown that it is possible to deliberately excite rogue waves using a short-term external action on the system.
