Abstract
The skin is the largest organ of the human body, with a total area of up to two square meters. There are many organic substances released through the skin. Various diseases can change composition of emanations from the skin surface, therefore, the study of the specificity of gas evolution is an urgent task. Aerogels can be defined as solid, lightweight material with very high porosity and very good absorptions. It is an expensive material, but it has the necessary properties, which can collected faster and stored longer samples of emanations from the skin surface. In this research absorption spectra were obtained in THz range for aerogels based on silicon dioxide and the possibilities of using aerogels as adsorbing materials for collecting samples of vapors from human skin were studied.
