Numerical simulation of induction PVD of titanium on steel plates

Abstract
In this work, we carried out a numerical simulation of induction vacuum deposition of titanium on hardened steel samples. The rational geometry of the tubular target and the modes of induction heating, which ensure the minimum heating of the steel plate, have been determined. The main results of modeling are experimentally confirmed - conditions are created for the formation of titanium layers on the surface of plates made of HSS 1.3343.
