Analysis of the effect of heating a container for chemical-thermal treatment of titanium in a carbon-containing environment, depending on the geometry and current strength of the inductor

Voyko Aleksey Vladimirovich - Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov

Abstract

This study presents the results of modeling the chemical-thermal treatment (CTT) of titanium specimen-disks presented in containers with a carbon-containing medium. The main subjects to be considered are the inductor current and the geometry of the "inductor - container - sample" system, namely the number of turns, the height and internal diameter of the inductor. In this case, set the height and outer diameter of the container for CTT. The operating temperature of the outer surface of the container ranged from 1100 to 1400 ºС, which reached at an inductor current from 3.4 to 5.0 kA in a narrow frequency range of 88 ± 2 kHz. The obtained pictures of the distribution of temperature fields through the idea of a system of inductors of various designs.
